Effective solutions to solve men’s health and wellness challenges

As long as they are working, feeling productive, and living up to their social roles, most men think they are healthy and doing fine. As a result, they tend to visit doctors only when it’s absolutely necessary, according to them. In most cases, this is why only serious conditions bring men to the doctor’s office. This “manly” approach is a key trigger why men’s health challenges aren’t treated on time.

When talking about men’s health and wellness challenges, diseases that top the list include cardiovascular disease, lung and prostate cancer, diabetes, erectile dysfunction, and depression and suicide. Poor habits like smoking and excessive alcohol intake, too, are major global health challenges. But there’s no need to be anxious since a little planning and maintaining some healthy habits can go a long way in battling such health challenges.

The basics of good health start with having a nutritious diet and exercising regularly for at least 30 minutes every day. In addition, overweight men should take steps to lose weight and maintain an ideal weight once they have lost the excess flab. Regular health checkups and screenings are equally important to note any risks, factors, or symptoms of diseases early on and start the necessary treatment or intervention, based on what the situation demands. Men who follow a vegan lifestyle showed a 35% reduction in risk of developing prostate cancer in the large Adventists Health Study-2, which is following over 26,000 men.

In addition, learning stress-busting techniques and practicing those, getting involved in social groups or charity work, or even taking hobby classes to stay away from loneliness and extend the social circle are other effective steps men can take to address several common mental and psychological health and fitness challenges.
